Series 2 Announcement
NHL Breakaway Series 2 is here to deliver more fun, rewards, and iconic highlights, bringing the experience that collectors already love to the next level while reaching NHL fans around the world! We’ve heard the feedback, and Series 2 launches with the introduction of Breakaway Bag Quest Rewards that will feature IRL rewards like NHL Shop Gift Cards, and tickets to your favorite team! Get ready for new twists on fan-favorite sets, the first collectible character set from a major US sports league, the upcoming game from NHL Breakaway, and more! This is your first look at what’s coming in Series 2.
Series 2 Launch Sets
Dropping with pucks at the start of the season are 4 sets packed with current stars, and the biggest legends of the game! Cause For A Celly: 2010s features unforgettable NHL playoff highlights with debuts from Alec Martinez, Joe Thornton, Marian Hossa, and more. Opening Ice: Icons includes first career goals from Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, and Mark Messier, and Light the Lamp: Legacy celebrates goals that every NHL fan will remember from Connor McDavid, Rick Nash, Evgeni Malkin, and more. Across the Pond rounds out the Series 2 launch taking NHL Breakaway international to chronicle highlights from NHL games played off North American soil!
Breakaway Bag Quest Rewards
Prepare for more quests and enhanced rewards with the introduction of Breakaway Bags! New collectors receive their first Breakaway Bag when they create their account, but now Breakaway Bags will also be featured as an instantly redeemable reward from quests. Collectors will not only have the chance to win highlights, packs, and collectibles, Breakaway Bags will also include IRL rewards such as NHL Shop gift cards, regular season tickets, and more!
Upcoming Game
We’re developing a game, debuting first on the web, that will let collectors enjoy the Breakaway Beauties and Highlights in their collection in new and fun ways by facing off against other collectors. More information will be available as we get closer to launch in 2025.
Breakaway Beauties
Planned for the upcoming season is the launch of Breakaway Beauties, the first collectible character set from a major US sports league. These characters can immediately be used as profile pictures on NHL Breakaway, and will be incorporated into future collection quests, but will primarily play a key role in the upcoming game. Each Breakaway Beauty will have attributes that impact their effectiveness in the game, so get ready to start building your perfect team!
Signature Quests
