Introducing Collection Quests

It’s a big week, NHL Breakaway community! The first NHL Breakaway Collection Quests are going live soon, and will start testing the knowledge and collecting skills of the dedicated hockey fans across the platform.

With these first Quests, there is a collector journey to take on regardless of the size of the collection, and a chance to earn increasingly special rewards as you work your way to the 2024 NHL® All-Star Heroic Quest! The brave collectors that complete the Heroic Quest will be rewarded with a limited edition 2024 All-Star Quest Reward Pack that will include a guaranteed epic or legendary highlight, and will be the first chance to pull Gordie Howe’s legendary tier debut!

Here are the key details for all the Collection Quests going live this week:

2024 NHL® All-Star Heroic Quest

Collect and freeze 54 highlights from players invited and voted to participate in the 2024 NHL® All-Star Weekend to prove your heroic collection skills and NHL® All-Star knowledge. Each highlight frozen for quest completion must be unique, but repeat players are permitted and collectibles of all tiers are eligible.

NHL® All-Star 2024 Quest Reward Pack (Heroic)

Pack Contents: Each 2024 NHL® All-Star Quest Reward Pack will contain 1 highlight from the following sets:

Making the Mark
Cause for a Celly: 90s
The Greatest Achievement: Gordie Howe (Legendary) – Quest Reward Packs are the first chance to pull Gordie Howe!

2024 NHL® All-Star First Appearance Quest

Collect and freeze 10 players invited and voted to make their first appearance at an NHL® All-Star Weekend to test your NHL® All-Star knowledge. Each highlight must be unique, but repeat players are permitted and collectibles of all tiers are eligible.

Guardian Debut Badge Quest

Collect and freeze 20 goalie highlights that feature an NHL® Breakaway Debut Badge. Each highlight frozen for quest completion must be unique, but repeat players are permitted and collectibles of all tiers are eligible.

Reward: Guardians of the Net Quest Reward Pack (Limited) – Another first chance for The Great Achievements: Gordie Howe (Legendary)!

Collect and freeze 3 highlights. Each highlight frozen for quest completion must be unique – only Fandom and Core tier highlights are eligible.

You can read the full announcement on Quests here, but here is a quick breakdown of how Collection Quests work once the feature is live:

Visit the Quest Hub and choose your first Quest to conquer
Review the collectibles you can use to complete the Quest on the Eligible tab, and collect and freeze the required collectibles for the reward.
Continue to build your collection and take on additional Quests!

Rewards for Collection Quests will be randomized – so whether you complete within the first week or the first hour will have no bearing on the edition number of your reward.
