Migration from MoonPay to Stripe

We’re happy to announce that we are switching from MoonPay to Stripe for all primary and marketplace processing on September 30, 2025.
In order to prepare for this migration, there are important steps you need to take if you are holding Sweet Balance, Promo Credits, or have active Marketplace listings.
Sweet Balance Holders
You may make NHL Breakaway purchases using your Sweet Balance up until September 30 at 12pm ET.
After this time, any Sweet Balance on your account must be withdrawn by October 17, 2025, at which point MoonPay will no longer be supporting the Sweet Balance product.
To initiate a withdrawal, go to Account Settings and click “Withdraw Balance” or “Visit MoonPay.” If you still have a Sweet Balance on your account as of October 17, MoonPay will reach out via email to attempt to refund your funds to the payment method you have on file.
If your Sweet balance is less than $20, please look out for an email from MoonPay next week where you can request assistance.
You also may contact MoonPay’s customer support (+1 888-651-0727 https://support.moonpay.com/) at any time for assistance to withdraw your balance.
Promo Credit Holders
All Sweet Reward/Promo Credits will expire on September 30 at 12pm ET. To view your promo credit balance, go to your Profile and scroll to the bottom of the page.
Marketplace Listings
Since current listings are tied to MoonPay, all marketplace listings will be taken down on September 30 at 12pm ET. Once the migration from MoonPay is complete, you will need to create a Stripe Merchant account before relisting your collectibles. Read more about Stripe Merchant account setup.
We're confident that this change will provide a better overall experience on the platform; note that your digital collectibles themselves are not affected in any way and NHL Breakaway will continue to operate seamlessly to enable any trades, gifts, or future purchases.
