Introducing the Trade Deadline Challenge

Ever wonder what it’s like to be in the GM’s office at the NHL trade deadline? We’re here to create some of that excitement for you!

As the March 8 NHL Trade Deadline approaches, we’re excited to announce our Trade Deadline Challenge!  The rules are simple:

• Complete 10 qualifying trades within 10 days to receive an Ice Nation pack
• Complete 20 qualifying trades within 10 days to receive a Base 2023-24 February Expansion Pack

The challenge starts NOW and runs until March 8 at 3pm ET / 12pm PT. So get to the Trade Lounge, review those trade offers or create trade proposals of your own!

How To Participate

• Complete qualifying trades with other collectors via the NHL Breakaway Trade Lounge.
• A qualifying trade is defined as a single transaction where anywhere from 1 to 5 collectibles are traded on the Platform by one authorized user in good standing to a different authorized user in good standing for 1-5 collectibles from their collection. 
• To qualify for a free pack, no more than 5 collectibles can be traded between the same two users.
• View your Account History to see how many trades you’ve completed.
• The eligible trade period begins February 28 at 3pm ET / 12pm PT and ends March 8 at 3pm ET / 12pm PT.
• If you complete 10 trades within the eligible trade period, you will receive a free airdrop of an Ice Nation pack.
• If you complete 20 trades within the eligible trade period, you will receive a free airdrop of a Base 2023-24 February Expansion Pack.

The Reward & Distribution

• Eligible collectors will receive either 1 Base 2023-24 February Expansion Pack or 1 Ice Nation pack, depending on the number of trades completed during the challenge period.
• Reward packs will be delivered via airdrop on or about Mar 15, 2024 at 3pm ET / 12pm PT.
• The edition numbers for each pack reward will be randomly distributed.
• Limit of one (1) free challenge completion reward for each authorized user. A challenge can only be completed once by each authorized user.  It is prohibited here and on the NHL Breakaway Platform to hold or control multiple accounts to evade rules. One account per person.
• Suspected “wash” trades (e.g. trading for different edition numbers of the same highlight), patterns of unusually unbalanced trades based on rarity, or excessive trades with a single user or between the same users are prohibited and may result in disqualification, at the discretion of NHL Breakaway.
• Free packs are provided “as is” while supplies last and, at all times, subject to these rules and the Terms, including maintenance and use of a single authorized account in good standing.
