Introducing Hometown History: Chicago Blackhawks

Chicago fans! As you may have heard, the Blackhawks will be celebrating and honoring Chris Chelios, one of the most decorated defensemen in team and league history, during a special jersey retirement ceremony on Sunday, Feb. 25 against the Detroit Red Wings.

To commemorate Chelios' Blackhawks career, NHL Breakaway will be releasing a limited edition #7 Chris Chelios pack on Sunday, February 25 at 10am CT / 11am ET / 8am PT!

This will be the first of several Hometown History team sets, which celebrate milestone moments across storied franchises and legendary players.

Each #7 Chris Chelios pack will contain 1 of 3 highlights from Chelios’ storied career with the Blackhawks:

• First goal as a Chicago Blackhawk in 1990 (Core #/1,849)
• Breaking the net cam on a shorthanded game-winning goal in the 1995 Western Conference Quarterfinals (Limited #/500)
• Game-winning OT goal against the Canucks in Game 3 of the 1995 Western Conference Semifinals (Rare #/250)

There will be 2,599 packs total, commemorating Chelios’ 948 career points + 1,651 career games. Each pack will be available for $7 on nhlbreakaway.com on Sunday, February 25 at 10am CT / 11am ET / 8am PT!
